Bankside Patterson has introduced a new range of wheels and tyres using the latest tubeless tyre technology!
Nowadays the vast majority of machinery and vehicles fitted with pneumatic tyres are tubeless and the tubed design is becoming a thing of the past. This is especially so with high-speed applications such as cars, lorries, touring caravans etc due to the additional safety and performance benefits that they offer. Although a static caravan or park home is not strictly a vehicle, Bankside Patterson has conducted research into applying modern day tyre technology to these applications.
Tube type tyres are prone to explosive deflation (like bursting a balloon) increasing the potential for damage to the caravan and injury to people nearby.
With a tubeless tyre, in the event of a puncture, the air escapes slowly rather than explosively, as the object in the tyre can act as a seal, making them safer to operate. Repairs can be carried out at any tyre outlet just like you would with a car tyre.
After consultation with their wheel and tyre supplier Starco GB Ltd, a range has been developed for use on static caravan and park home chassis that will include the following benefits: -
- 501 Compliant / NCC Approved
- Safer Operation
- Improved differential load performance
- Improved stability / strength
- Simplified serviceability / Repair
