30/08/2007 - Foundations for Quality Solvent Emissions Directive (S.E.D)
From October 2007 the new legislation comes into force.
Bankside Patterson have been operating in compliance since March 2006, the legislation being introduced is bringing a substantial reduction in emissions allowed and is the responsibility of the manufacturer of the product to adhere. All compliance is with the user not the paint manufacturer. The legislation requires continous recording and reviewing of all solvent inputs and outputs used.
With a substantial investment Bankside Patterson committed to meeting the legislation 18 months ahead of time with a new spray shop designed to meet the requirements not only for October 2007 but the proposed 2010 reduced emissions levels.
